ReplyDeleteHA! That is funny. When I first read this, I thought you just had a typo in the title with the word understand. I got through the entire first sentence before I even realized any of the other words were spelled wrong. This may be because I am a terrible speller myself, or it could be because you are right! As long as the first and last letter are in place, it does not matter what is in the middle. This is actually a phenomenon I learned about in my AP Psychology class last year. It is called closure, and is one of the organizational principles of Gestalt Psychology. The idea of closure is that as long as some information is provided through sensation, your mind fills in the missing information through perception, when your brain processes the information.
